When stocking your refrigerator, arrange it like this:
Shelves 1 and 2
Your top shelf should have ready to eat berries and fruit that you can easily add to yogurt and eat on their own. Condiments and dressings can also be kept on the top shelf. The second shelf should have ingredients for your dinner for the week.
Shelves 3 and drawers
Keep your third shelf as your herb shelf. Having fresh, and washed herbs make them very easy to add to your dishes. Portioning out plastic bags of berries, sprouts, and other salad makings make a quick snack to grab from your drawers.
Making dinners in advance to heat up for the week can reduce the amount of time you spend in the kitchen each night while still eating right. Keep all prepared meals on the fourth shelf.
