Easy Steps to Happy & Healthy FeetFeet have been forged by millions of years of natural selection to support our weight, but our shoes may be weakening our feet. 

As soon as we learn to walk, our feet are wrapped up in shoes and we do the majority of our moving in them. It’s commonly thought that we need arch-support shoes in order to hold our arch, but the arch of our foot is meant to act as a spring, relieving much of the blunt force upon impact. The arch supports are actually weakening our feet! Take a step in the right direction towards happy and healthy feet with these tips.

  1. Walk in socks or bare feet whenever possible
    Shoeless feet is a good first step. Moving with your bare feet helps strengthen your arch and all of the other important muscles, ligaments, and tendons that make your feet.
  2. Move often
    Walking is something that we were built to do on a daily basis. Walking every day enables all of the joints in our body to function properly and helps avoid premature degradation of cartilage and joints.
