Quickly Whip Up These Nutritious Snacks
When you are in a rush in the morning, it can be tempting to skip breakfast. Doing so can make you tired and irritable all day, throwing your blood sugar out of whack. Fortunately, there is a great grab-and-go option you can whip up at home in five minutes. Make a batch of these energy bars to get the nutrition you need on the go.
- ¾ cup of quick rolled oats
- ¼ cup of almond butter
- ¼ cup of chia seeds
- ¼ cup of water
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of maca powder
- 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
Combine all of the ingredients together in a food processor. Pulse until everything is well blended and you have a sticky batter. Form the batter into individual bars (this should make about 6) and set them in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
If you want to keep these bars for more than 4 days, you can keep them in the freezer.
