While most people associate September with the start of fall, it is also celebrated for something even better – National Yoga Month! National Yoga Month is held to help raise awareness and educate more people about all the health benefits of yoga and to help inspire a healthy lifestyle.

To help celebrate National Yoga Month, concerts, yoga classes, and other special events are held across the country throughout the month. It is also used to help inspire more people to start practicing yoga and create a more balanced lifestyle.

September was designated by the Department of Health and Human Services in 2008. In the same year, thousands of health and yoga enthusiasts participated in a 10 City Yoga Health Festival Tour, which featured yoga classes, music, lectures, exhibits, entertainment, and much more.
